Convivir Colorado

Convivir supports youth impacted by migration as they find power in their migrant experience and use it to enrich themselves and their Colorado communities. The organization name itself is a nod to the power of having experiences and feelings we can’t fully translate to the dominant language and culture.

Convivir cultivates spaces that feature storytelling, artistic expression, and community building so that youth impacted by migration can feel empowered to thrive in their authenticity and use their leadership skills to build a more just society for all. We serve low-income 6th through 12th grade youth who are immigrants, refugees, or first generation Americans from any nationality and with any immigration status.

Our support is holistic and long-term where youth have the opportunity to engage in our:

  1. Out-of-School Programming where each of our programs build on each other and increase in life application;
  2. In-School Services that create community hubs of support for our youth;
  3. Community-Wide Engagement that highlights an ecosystem that is welcoming of immigrants and refugees.
