Dunia and her family fled from Somalia to Kenya in 2006 and were resettled in the U.S. in 2013. Currently, Dunia is a Sophomore at the Metropolitan State University of Denver majoring in Entrepreneurship and hopes to become a businesswoman. In her spare time, Dunia is a henna artist and writes poems inspired by her younger sister Eyni who was bullied in middle school.
