Jacqueline Umurisa

Jacqueline Umurisa is a Congolese refugee who came to Colorado in September 2022. She came with five siblings and her mother through one of the resettlement agencies in Colorado. She is currently working towards her Bachelor’s of Art in Communication with a concentration in Business at Southern New Hampshire University. She is a proud member of the Colorado Refugee Speakers Bureau. She likes to work with diverse teams, and collaborates with team members effectively to achieve common goals. Her dream is to become a communications specialist. She always advises refugees to become problem solvers and a resource to their community.
