El Grupo Vida

El Grupo Vida supports immigrants with disabilities and their families to connect to the community with training, support groups, social activities, consultation, and community navigation. We aim to expand our services to different parts of Colorado and increase families’ connection to the communities.
El Grupo VIDA is a network of Immigrant parents formed to provide mutual support for people with disabilities or special needs, their parents, family, and guardians. We have the following programs:
- Community Navigators- Connect families with various resources and systems such as education, health, insurance, immigration, housing, transition, IEPs, etc.
- Support groups (virtual and in-person): Opportunity for families to learn from each other and connect with resources. The participants provide topics, and we invite specialists to talk about these topics.
- Training/Workshop- All our training is in Spanish- including first aid and CPR, Circle of Security Parenting class, Entrepreneur Training, English class, Computer skills class, Photography, Interior Design and Videos, Art and Coffee.
- Resource Center- Diaper Program- We provide diapers to the community, partnering with WeeCycle; Exchange Boutique and food pantry. Connection with resources in the community.
- Social Activities- including summer picnic, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas Posada, Mother’s Day, Children’s Day, and San Valentine.
- Annual Conference- We provide two conferences- parents and professionals and youth and adults with disabilities and siblings.
