Kindness (FRAHEC)

Kindness offers comprehensive health navigation services for refugees and immigrants in the Colorado Springs and Denver metropolitan areas. Kindness’ health navigators, who themselves have lived experience as refugees or immigrants, understand firsthand the challenges of accessing healthcare in a new country. They provide culturally appropriate support in multiple languages, helping families schedule medical appointments, understand healthcare documents, arrange transportation, navigate insurance systems, and help navigate the various social determinants of health. Our navigators work closely with each family until they feel confident managing their healthcare needs independently. Beyond basic healthcare access, we help address related needs that impact health and well-being, including housing stability, food security, and social connection. Our goal is to help every family build the knowledge and confidence they need to maintain good health in their new community. (Kindness is a trade name of the Front Range Area Health Education Center.)
